Today, there is an app, website, or software platform for about anything.
But when it comes to notetaking, there is one app I can’t live without:
Workflowy
And here’s why:
There is no learning curve.
It is not fancy; it exists to help you organise your thoughts and life. It doesn’t need to have all the bells and whistles because it wants to take away the complexity of planning, making it straightforward and easy to use.
It’s minimalist.
Unlike Notion, which has so much to do that every time I log in, I keep exploring, the day passes, and I am busy getting amazed by the sheer number of templates it has. Please don’t hate me; I am at a point in my life where I want to get going with the least amount of distractions. Workflowy is just that.
Designed for taking action.
You don’t waste any time thinking about the name of your file, the heading, or anything, and it’s based on a simple principle, hierarchy.
You can have a hierarchy for your thoughts, and your plan can have a plan with a simple click. What this helps in achieving is if you go back to the home page, you have a top-level view of everything you have on your plate.
It has made notetaking a breeze.
Workflowy is available on your phone, laptop, and your tablet and the best part is, it emails you the last update you made to your workflowy account. I can’t tell you the number of times I have lost something within Notion. Using Workflowy is as easy as taking a note on a piece of paper.
If you love efficiency, hate distractions, or are outcome driven, I can’t recommend using this app enough.
